PAFFREL asks candidates to present programme of work

The Peoples Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) is to convene a meeting of all potential presidential candidates and request them to present their manifestos to develop the nation while the people will be given an opportunity to question them.

PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said his organisation had already discussed the matter with the candidates named by their respective political parties and that the talks were successful.

He said he would talk to other candidates as well when their names are announced by their parties and pointed out that discussions were underway to broadcast the event live on all electronic media. (Buddika Kumarasiri)
