Former Customs Director-General P.S.M.Charles was appointed as the Governor of the Northern Province by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.

She was earlier appointed as the Secretary to the Health Ministry by President Rajapaksa.

Wise and superb choice by the President. Finally, we have a President who is putting things in order in the Island. Kudos to the President for appointing professionally qualified officials as opposed to the traditional political allies/appointees.
