Owners of MT New Diamond pay Rs. 442 Mn to SL govt

The Government has received Rs. 442 million from owners of MT New Diamond, the vessel which caught fire off the east coast recently.

The money has been given to the Sri Lanka as actual expenses incurred by the government stakeholders in controlling fire on board and not for marine pollution.
