With reference to the article titled ‘John Amaratunga will be UNP’s National List member’ published on the today's the Daily Mirror front page, the Central Media unit of the UNP issued the following statement.

“I wish to inform you that this article is incorrect as no decision has been made regarding the appointment of a member of the UNP to the National List,” the UNP Media unit said.

isnt this why even traditional UNP voters got disgusted and finally voted for others? They cannot even decide on a simple thing like who will represent them in parliament. How can they steer the nation?
