At least nine people had been reportedly killed and many others injured when an SLTB bus fell down a precipice at the 6th Mile Post on the Passara-Madolsima Road this evening, the Police said.
“Residents are helping the Police team in search and rescue operation to take the victims to the hospital,” a Police Officer said. (Prasanna Padmasiri)

The entire roads covering the hill country should have strong protective railings to prevent similar accidents. It should have been done decades ago.Britain built the roads for her own benefits for transporting “our resources” to the sea ports using our drivers without any safety for the “natives” and we stupidly continuing without any changes, what the colonial masters left for us .
