A 57-year old man was hacked to death by his son-in-law at Oruwala in Athurugiriya last night, police said.

They said the victim's daughter had been at his house at Oruwala along with her son due to a family dispute.

The suspect had arrived at his father-in law’s house with another man to see his son.

The victim was attacked with a knife following an argument.

He was pronounced dead after being admitted to the Oruwala Hospital.

The Athurugiriya Police arrested both suspects when they were fleeing in a lorry.
