A 38-year-old man died while running a marathon at an Avurudu festival in Sooriyawewa this morning.
Police said the victim, a resident of Sooriyawewa had collapsed during the marathon organised by the Sooriyawewa district secretariat office and the Pradeshiya sabha.
He had died due to cardiac arrest, Police said.
