The new Justice Minister, Thalatha Athukorala, should make finding out how her brother (Gamini) died her first priority, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said yesterday.
He said the new minister had been given a mandate to operate the judiciary and the Attorney General's Department against the enemy. “However, before all this, I invite her to find out how her brother died,” he said. He was responding to a question raised by a journalist following an event held at the BMICH.

Mr. Ex-President, you expect her to do what you did when you had power; influencing the judiciary and giving first priority to "family affairs". You Sir, are judging her by your standard. It looks like you are disillusioned after the sacking of Wijeydasa aka Dealdasa

Mahinda has nothing to say to media. He is now acting like a child to cover himself and his brothers and sons too. They were involved in many unethical activities in his regime. That's the reason whole of Sri Lanka is corrupt now.
Snowy Friday, 01 September 2017 10:02 AM
Sorry sir, the majority of the peace loving public would like to see the Wasim Thajudeen murder investigated as the first priority. Sorry sir, you and your family will not like it.

SHE MUST BE AWARE HOW HER BRO DIED. WHY DONT YOU TELL US HOW THAJUDEEN DIED
P. De. Silva - Canada Friday, 01 September 2017 06:47 PM
MR must be in fear and stress after the removal of justice minister. WR from all his duties and to be a back bencher in parliament . Just because his connections by delaying important cases to the government of corrupt politicians and past regime's family involvement's, in other hand he also a Rajapaksa from the same area , and must be a relative too . Why MR is giving like orders to newly appointed justice minister TA to find out and investigate about her brother's death , that means they are looking to make stories and slings mud at her . The government hasn't appointed her to finds out to take care of family matters as well as the loved ones and their political circle . To respect's the job and to do equal justice to the country and bring culprits to courts and to punished or to released according to the judgments . Hope she will be best and straightforward and correct one for the position . Good luck to the country and the people .
