University students enjoy FREE EDUCATION on tax payers money. But their actions on streets obstruct corporate sector personnel very much. Due to their action, we are unable to attend meetings, officials appointments etc on time.

I keep hearing this story again and again. Did you go to private schools from primary? These are the cream of SL must do much more to keep them in Country. And do you think only SL provide free education? All the developed countries provide free doll education and encourage everyone to at least go to diploma. knowledge is the power!

The University education should be chargeable by getting them to pay for their education with scholarships to cover their educational expenses. If they fail or skip classes then the scholarship should be withdrawn. This will ensure that all students will attend the universities without protesting on causes not relevant to their university education!

Higher education should NOT be free. We pay so much taxes to educate these jokers who end up troubling every SriLankan.

Why should I pay for a bunch of people who's only priority is to cause trouble to my life

@ BingoOnly handful of developed countries in the world provide free university education. Knowledge is power - so check the facts.

Knowledge is the power, that's broken English. You seem to be educated in a govt university. This is precisely why we need private universities. fyi, all countries provide free education, but they also allow privatization of universities.

After sometime they protest against the scholarship too
