The Government is mulling towards moving out its offices from private buildings onto State-owned buildings.
This decision had been taken with the view of minimising the additional cost incurred to the government for locating its offices in privately-owned buildings.
Presently, several Ministries, line management offices and several state institutions are housed in privately-owned buildings. Steps have already been taken to obtain information with regard to these institutions. (Nalaka Sanjeewa Dahanayake)

Nobody knows that even Sethsiripaya new building too is private owned, though said to be government owned. All earnings going to pockets of few.
