The government has so far not issued an official statement regarding the acceptance of the letter of resignation of Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe, the director general of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption. Consequently she had visited the commission's office yesterday and continued with her official duties.
An officer of a state institution who submits a letter of resignation is considered as holding his or her post until the letter is accepted by the authorities concerned. A discussion was also held yesterday with regard to the future activities of the commission.

Obviously she will still be in office and continue to work because the right thing is to give a month's notice and in the case of Executives and higher positions are expected to give 3 months notice in case nobody knows the proper HR Rules and regulations.

A terrible step backwards from the progress the country has been making after 8th January,to restore its' reputation and good name after the long dark era of corruption and crime.Let us hope she is given an apology by the president and asked to continue the good work that has been done under such difficult circumstances and risks.

Keep going. Finish the good work you have started. There won't be any future for our kids and the country will be in dumps forever if we don't get rid of the corruption that has set in.
