CPC approves proposed 20A

The proposed 20th Amendment to the Constitution which provides for elections to be held to the nine provincial councils on a single day was today approved by the Central Provincial Council with 40 councillors voting in favour and nine members against.
Central Provincial Council Chairman L.D. Nimalasiri said two members were absent for voting. (L.B Senarathne)
