A proposal is to be submitted to build a rail track close to the proposed Central Expressway (E-04), which will link Colombo and Kandy, Railway Services State Minister C.B. Ratnayake said.
He told the media after inspecting the Maradana Railway yard and pointed out that agreements will be signed to replace the single tracks with double tracks to make the railway services more efficient and any delay in departure and arrival would be minimised. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
