At least 15 people have been arrested for violating quarantine regulations when the police curfew was lifted in several districts, DIG Ajith Rohana said. He stressed that the police curfew was imposed to control the spread of COVID-19 virus but said the purpose would not be fufilled if the people violated regulations and guidelines during the temporary lift of the curfew. He requested the public not to travel in groups and to maintain the minimum distance of 1m with each other in public. DIG Rohan also requested the public to obey the quarantine regulations and the guidelines issued by the helath authorities. (DSB)
