It was worse when road passenger transport was monopolized by the then CTB. Strikes were a norm at that time.

These 138 bus route is where you get the worse drivers and the service. They do not care for other passengers drivers and they are not even stopped by the police en-route.They have the law by the ba.....s. Simple, can the Govt. minister introduce a CTB proper bus service, some with A/C to this 138 route ? never ,
Someone in the Ministry will take a "fat somthing" and it will never happen.
gowravi Monday, 20 August 2012 08:03 AM
Very True, I agree with you , I'm a regular traveller on 138,
They do not drive on the roads, it's a race among buses ,
Absolutely no road discipline ,

The Private bus owners mafia, must be controlled. The state must increase the state run buses in these routes to minimize difficulties for commuters.
Chandimani Monday, 20 August 2012 05:35 AM
Both parties are not reliable. Ultimately passengers will meet difficulties!
Seram Monday, 20 August 2012 07:32 AM
allocate more CTB buses to this route. Can generate income. Let this mafia organization to strike many days . They will report to work as they have to pay installment to FC..

This is the problem with privatizing essential services. They start trade union actions willy nilly, even for their personal reasons! Anybody interfering with the duty of law enforcement authorities should be NOT be tolerated.
Asaranakolla Monday, 20 August 2012 07:13 AM
Dont talk about Traffic Cop's, because of few culprits entire department suffers, dont think about Private Busses, because some want follow traffic policies passengers always suffer.
Nitpicker Monday, 20 August 2012 07:10 AM
What exactly is the complaint by the buses against the traffic police? I have used route 138 on occasions and those buses (like the majority) are driven fast, blasting horns, slamming on brakes and knocking down passengers, etc.
Lobo Monday, 20 August 2012 07:01 AM
So just for passenger convenience the killers on wheels must be allowed to carry on un-impeded by the police? Just because the top is rotten does not mean all forms or levels of law and order must be ignored.
FLY Monday, 20 August 2012 06:15 AM
surely not a 138 passenger. Where is the right authority in this country. from top cabinet ministers to the bellow only right thing governs is bribary, corruption and extortion.
Abilashan Monday, 20 August 2012 06:18 AM
A strike for silly issues, no one cares about consequences on working office people/other public, how will they suffer at such places in case on strikes, they made it public which has to be faced between two people.
Nodrog Monday, 20 August 2012 06:01 AM
If the authorities are right then they must not give in to the private bus mafia. Its about time they were put in their place.
