Nearly four per cent of total PCR tests performed on individuals of the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters and from the second wave of Covid-19 tested positive for Covid-19, according to statistics.
Accordingly, a total of 294,273 PCR tests were carried out from October 5 to November 9 and 10,620 of those tests confirmed the virus, with 3.63 per cent of average.
The first patient of the Minuwangoda cluster was reported on October 3.
The number of persons reported from the Brandix factory is 1,041 and 1,208 persons tested positive for the virus from Quarantine centres.
The total number of Covid-19 patients identified from the Peliyagoda Fish Market and the number of persons who contracted virus outside the quarantine centres were 7,364.
The highest number of PCR tests carried out within a day was 12,657, reported on November 7.
