Excluding health, food supply, transport, bank, essential service sectors
The government announced a three-day holiday period upto Thursday, March 19 excluding essential services involving health, transport, food supplies, banks and district secretariats.
It said this special holiday declared as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will apply to all state institutions, departments and corporations.
The government has requested mercantile sector employers to grant this holiday to their employees too.
The government will consider further extending this holiday or not after a close study over the spread of COVID-19 virus.

Better late than never. Being a developing country with meagre economy, the President steers the nation forward with firm decision to prevent further loss. Let us all strengthen the leadership with the spirit of solidarity with the fervent prayers to the almighty God to heal our land. God bless our land..
