The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today discharged MP Johnston Fernando from the four cases filed by the Bribery Commission in connection with the non-declaration of assets.

It was sequent to the Bribery Commission withdrawing the cases on charges that he had not filed his declaration of assets between 2010 and 2013.

The BC informed the court that the cases against the MP could not be proceeded with because of a technical issue.

Farce upon farce. Only contempt of court is taken up seriously. All other cases against high and mighty put off for months.

When filing they leave some issue for the accused to argue and escape. Good BC lawyers . All the high profile cases will end this way. It is I scratch your back you scratch my back policy
