Woman hospitalised after ekel-broom attack

An incident of a woman being attacked by a youth with an ekel- broom in the neighbourhood in Meeravodai under the Valaichchenai Police Division was reported on Saturday.   
The youth who got into an argument with the particular woman while plucking mangoes on a tree in the woman’s neighbourhood had apparently beaten the woman using force with an ekel- broom.    

Meanwhile, the piece of metal sheet on the ekel- broom had caused injuries to the woman’s body during the attack.   

The injured woman was receiving treatment at the Valaichchenai Base Hospital now while the Police were carrying out further investigations in connection with the incident.
