Tax on Int’l calls

Local call chargers will be reduced to Rs.1.50 from 2 per minute, while a tax of Rs. 2 per minute will be added to International calls from June, the President said during the Budget speech.

Sri Lanka's calls charges are way expensive than the USA.
Not very inviting for businesses.

The increased cost of communication will make Sri Lankans products more uncompetitive in the international market further.

Sri Lanka was a net exporter of spices, and now we are already an net importer.
