The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC)which is still undecided on which party to support to form the Eastern Provincial Council administration has empowered its leader to take an appropriate decision in this regard, reliable party sources said.

Therefore SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem will hold talks with both the UPFA and the TNA and place his conditions before them, the sources said.

The party had taken this decision at a special meeting of SLMC MPs and SLMCers elected to the Eastern Provincial Council, held at the party headquarters in Colombo and presided over by Mr. Hakeem.(Rifthi)
