Lakwijaya breaks down again

E-mail Print
The Lakwijaya Power Plant at Norochcholai had automatically shut down today due to the tripping of a transmission line from Norochcholai to Veyangoda. The shutdown deprived the national grid of 300MV, the Ministry of Power and Energy said.

Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Wimaladharma Abeywickrema said they would take all relevant measures to ensure the plant was back to normal soon.

If so why can't we do it :) don't blame them for the breakdown. Almost everything is made by China these days. We don't do things and we don't let others do as well.

It seems to be the transmision line has fallen down. Otherwise it doesn't take long to restore the line first and start the generation again.

any chance 44MW + 30MW intermittent power might triggered sudden tripping?

A transmission line breakdown? That's pathetic! Do you Identified Flying Objects (IFOs) in the area or something that the transmission line keeps breaking down?
