Rs.100,000 to be charged from news websites

Cabinet approved to amend the press council law to register websites for a fee of Rs.100,000 and annual renewal fee of Rs.50,000.

I don't think this will work. They baned porn sites but those kind of sites still available to watch here in Sri Lanka. Only few news sites will pay the fee.

Charge 50000/- for each child birth, 25000 for death of a family member and so on. otherwise GOSL cant pay the millions of politicos and depemndents on public funds
