‘Thamalini’ to be sent for rehab

The Colombo Magistrate court today ordered the rehabilitation of former LTTE women Political wing leader ‘Thamalini” after the CID told court that she had consented to undergo rehabilitation . The Attorney Generals department in a report to the CID stated that they have no objection in sending ‘Thamalini’ for rehabilitation.

When the CID made submissions in this regard to the Colombo Magistrates court yesterday, Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singappuli ordered the CID to get the consent of the prisoner who was held in remand custody for over three years prior to making an order.

The CID informed court today that they visited ‘Thamalini’ last evening and that she had agreed to undergo the rehabilitation programme.(Dasun Rajapakshe)

These guys should be given the best rehab!
We can use them for the betterment of our country.
Providing they don't return to their dark ages!
And for that there has to be equality. There some in the GOV also needing same!!

Good move! Proper rehabilitation will help to reintegrate her with society. At least authority should help her to find livelihood facilities at the end or better to allow neutral international NGOs in the former war-tone areas for reintegrate ex-combatants and political activist.
