Roads closed for funerals

The roads leading to the Baddegana play grounds from the Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya will be closed today from 3.00PM to 4.30 PM in lieu of the funerals of the two monks who were murdered at the temple last Tuesday. The Police have informed all motorists to use alternate routes during the time. (S.D & H.F)

A funeral should be a solemn, dignified matter that shouldn't cause trouble to everyday people who are trying to sustain an economy that is already under so much pressure and attack from various forces. Making a huge bally-ho about a tragic event such as a funeral, is a sin and bad karma against the dead.
