Sri Lanka-China Trade and Investment Council (SLCTIC) in collaboration with the University of Visual and Performing Arts has invited one of China’s foremost painters in the watercolour medium.
Wang Mao Rong will exhibit here for the first time twenty works commissioned especially for Sri Lanka. His work has been exhibited throughout China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Wang’s paintings depict nature, landscapes and calligraphy in traditional Chinese brushwork.
He is also a ceramic artist renowned for his unique glazing technique.
SLCTIC President Sun Lai Yung believes that cultural exchanges are important between nations, besides fostering trade and investments.
This exhibition will open on July 29 and go on to July 31. Admission will be free
