I work at Siyatha TV... This is so sad... I felt like someone had caused harm to a close friend when I found out about this horrible news.

What is Siyatha media? I never heard that name before. How many radio channels in Srilanka?

Siyatha is TV station UHF 32 and siyatha fm, real radio and vetrri fm and TV.

If govt is so keen to introduce an institution to control "media ethics" they should also think of a mechanisam to curb those culprits who attack media instituion in "hit n run " manner. I believe that is the prime importance at this jucture, if that falls in line, media ethics to will follow.

The minister of media will come before TV and would say " We will do a full scale investigation to this incident, which has been done to tranish the government's image etc etc "
