Visharada Nanda Malini’s newest comeback solo musical concert ‘Swetha Rathriya’ will be held at the Sri Jayawardenepura Campus on October 20 at 7 pm, in collaboration with Sirasa FM and award-winning wordsmith Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne who has written the most number of songs for this unique songstress.

 “This is a significant milestone in my life. The new generation may have not seen me singing live on stage for the past 22 years but I know that they yearn for good, wholesome music. Our music audience is intelligent. Their thirst for wholesome creations is unbelievable. I am grateful to Sirasa FM Channel Head S. M. Marikkar and Music Division Head Nihal Wickrema Edirisuriya for coordinating the whole programme with Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne who has penned the bulk of my popular songs. Shwetha Rathriya will comprise 25 shows only and they will be held in all parts of the country. I will be singing 25 of my popular songs in each show but I may introduce 15 new songs during the whole series. All songs that have been chosen to be sung in Swetha Rathriya have been penned by  Prof. Sunil Ariratane whose songs I have sung in the Pavana and Sathyaye Geethaya concerts too. Talented Suresh Maliyadda will lead the orchestra which will comprise ten gifted musicians while the script is being written by Dileepa Abeysekara who suggested the title name ‘Shwetha Rathriya’ too,” Visharada Nanda Malini said.
