All-rounder Asela Gunaratne has injured his right-arm during training and will miss the two-match T20 series against Bangladesh starting today. The second match will be played Sunday.
"He has sustained an injury in his right ar while diving during one of the fielding drills and getting his arm caught in an awkward position," SLC said in a statement
Gunaratne is expected to return to Colombo this afternoon and will attend for an MRI scan before starting the rehabilitation process.
Sri Lanka are also with skipper Angelo Mathews and batsman Kusal Perera due to injuries.

It now appears SL can do without the injury prone Mathews.Asela Gunaratne's pain is Dasun Shanaka's gain.There is Sadeera, Kusal.P, and Asela in the wings to prop up the batting. So Upul and Dinesh will have to make way.Thissara on his current form assend to captaincy.SLC need dynamic youngsters for the T/20.
