Non-Violent negotiations never brought a solution. It was the force which prevailed to end the violence. The shielding civilians had plenty of time to get away... they were combatants at the end to have stayed back... war means war my dear... get away from it or die as 'the shield' ... the non-violent ones got away... others were used just as the 'Tiger eats it's Cubs' .... now negotiate like humans do..... the Sinhalese were never an unfair kind... and never will be...they wanted to show the might of the Lion as history kept repeating... it was the collective unconscious of the people which won the war.... and it shall repeat in negotiations too... However, think of a new Idea... Five (5) quasi Independent States in a Federal System in the Island could enable each state to compete with each other and bingo... you would see real development. happening....like what happens in modern Countries....
