The Wildlife Department Officials had been accused of not attending promptly to an urgent call by the resident and the Army when two elephants had been reported sick in Vavuniya today. Not response could be obtained from the Wildlife officials, however. It is also not known if the elephants were saved. The incident is reported in Omanthai Ilaya Maradankulam area.
