A ceremony was held at Temple Trees this evening for President Mahinda Rajapaksa to return the identified gold jewelery recovered earlier from the LTTE to their rightful owners. These items of jewellery had pawned them in LTTE-run banks at higher interest rates and not been redeemed. They were handed back to 2379 people who had pawned them. Pix by Presidents’ media

Very good move by the government. The poor tamils . Their life time earnings robbed and their children and grand children kidnapped by LTTE barbarians. These poor tamils are now enjoying their lives as usual. Their sufferings are almost over. Thank you president Rajapakse.Tamil diaspora still trying to divide the country but their dream will never come true.
