Agitation by Youth and Professional Groups

A national movement comprised of youth and professional groups and concerned individuals from diverse backgrounds today staged a protest at the Independence Square where they urged the Government to put an end to this prevailing crisis situation in politics that drag Sri Lanka into an anarchy. Individuals representing the event were seen showing their agitation over the conduct in parliament and the current state of political uncertainty. Pix by Pradeep Pathirana

    All fine statements...if only there was a political system that could match up to them ...the people deserve so much better than these tired old self serving politicians out for themselves and their families .What would you call the Sri Lankan equivalent of the Arab Spring ?

    In the school textbook a syllabus is necessary for those who like to be an mp or minister relating to self-defence and about the use of weapons that could be used by them including the chilly powder penknife, broken chair government property, water bottles and books.
