A memorial museum had been inaugurated by president Mahinda Rajapakse in Aranthalawa, Ampara in remembrance of the Aranthalawa massacre of 1987. The bus in which the Buddhist monks travelled has been preserved and the massacre is portrayed through sculptures by sculptor Anil Amarapura. The LTTE killed 31 Bikkhus including Ven. Hegoda Indrasara Thera on June 2, 1987. Pix by Wasantha Chandrapala

Very true , Hatred will be wide spread, I think some element is trying to create another blood bath in SL and this time it will be mixed one, not only on racial basis and also on religion basis !

Well most CTB (SLTBO) buses on the road are in worse condition than the one in the picture.

LTTE is a banned organization, Sri Lanka is governed by a democratically elected President and parliament, that is the deference.

This is VERY good. People have already forgotten what LTTE has committed. People think LTTE was the liberator.

Didn't u feel the way you treat to KARUNA today at that time. You could defeat the war through Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe's peace agreement. Otherwise it wont be a easy task. Why u are not fair to share the credit with all these.
