Veteran actor Tony Ranasinghe passed away this morning at the age of 77 at a private hospital  in Colombo. He was born in July 31, 1937 in Modara.

    If I say the most veteran films stars invented by the Sri Lankan cinema in its history were Joe, Gamini and Tony no body would disagree with me.

    First ever film I remember vividly is " Duhulu Malak" Tony played the part of an aggrieved husband to perfection and from that day on wards he was one of my favorite actors. RIP Dear Sir.
