Colombo Mayoress Rosy Senanayake said that she will not be involved in national politics but will remain as the Mayoress for another term to see that all promises in her manifesto have been fulfilled.

“My son is contesting and it’s time to give the chance to newcomers,” she said.

“There were rumours that I was removed from my post, but nobody can remove me because I have been voted in as the Mayoress. I will remain in local politics and always be a voice for women,” she added. (Kamanthi Wickramasinghe)

Do that, just don't hurt animals by putting them in the pound.

Good, my dogs in the city are safe. Thanks for going and hope you are gone. My party is ALP (Animal Lovers Party).

    Please go home

Yes. You don't know to read numbers even. But build toilets in such high cost.

    Sunil Thursday, 04 June 2020 08:06 AM

By fulfilling the promises in the manifesto, do you mean constructing some more super-luxury toilets?

If you really wanted to give an opportunity to newcomers, you wouldn't have selected your son for that. There are many more young and educated people in Sri Lanka, give them a chance as well, it is sad to see that always family politics in Sri Lanka

It will be for the best if you stop talking for other women!!

Your son's credentials leaves much to be desired and him replacing you does not in anyway implies that there will be an improvement . You are simply extending your family tentacles playing both sides of the aisle .

The statement seems neither I robbed nor did I hide. Whether you remain as Mayor or not must be decided by the people of Sri Lanka, mind it. Avoid mutt

Roger Darlington Thursday, 04 June 2020 02:50 PM

Get lost Rosy. We don't want you as a Mayoress and trying to hang on saying unfinished business. Enough is enough. Your luxury jobs should stop and misusing people's money. What basic qualifications your son got to become a CEO. You want to fix your family at top posts? Looks like you've got the bug. Not with the SL citizens money.

Dogs are not meant to be in cities surely our animal lovers see that, It's great that there are so many kind hearted people in Colombo but please be more constructive than supporting these protests that are not the answer either to residents or the animals. Write to animal welfare organisations, get other animal lovers involved to contribute funds and build a no kill shelter for these dogs and get them off the streets where they can be looked after properly. That's what real animal lovers would do.

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT POLITICS???

Isn’t it nice to be willing to allow youngsters to take over ONLY IF ITS FROM THE FAMILY ! Family inheritance?
