US continue to tackle shared challenges with SL

While extending greetings to all Sri Lankan people for Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the United States said that it would look forward to building on strong partnership with Sri Lanka and continuing to tackle shared challenges in the year ahead.
Issuing a statement State Department’s Spokesman Morgan Ortagus said; On behalf of the American people and the Government of the United States of America, I wish a joyous New Year to all Sri Lankan people.”
“The United States and Sri Lanka have a strong partnership based on extensive people-to-people ties and a shared commitment to democratic principles and a stable, secure Indo-Pacific. We look forward to building on this partnership and continuing to tackle shared challenges in the year ahead.”
“Best wishes to the Sri Lankan people for a safe and prosperous new year,” the statement added.
