UNP suspends Ranjan’s membership

The United National Party (UNP) has decided to temporarily suspend the party membership of MP Ranjan Ramanayake, UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.

He said that the decision would be approved by the Working Committee.(Yohan Perera)

    Why temporarily? Is it not permanent because you all are scared of his other call recordings? UNP is finished and done!

    Yes.if suspended is temporary or permanent its not subject UNP has gone forever. Ranjan has done job most perfect way.

    UNP is even scared to suspend the “Actor” permanently, perhaps this is the end of the UNP and even they should know it by now. Majority of the Tamils would not shed any tears for it’s demise for they remember, induction of the Indian Army into Tamil areas by the UNP in 1987 and the UNP inspired Anti Tamil riots of July 1983.
