The swearing-in ceremony for new 28 Cabinet ministers and 40 State Ministers commenced in Kandy at the Old King’s Court a short while ago, in the presence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

An utter waste of money holding the swearing ceremony in Kandy. Imagine the helicopters hired (without payment) and petrol wasted to transport the goons to Kandy!! Started off in typical Rajapaksa style!!

They will only come to Kandy for useless poiya things like this. Otherwise Kandy is neglected, no development, no protection for the old look of the city, no new jobs, even the street lights don't work. There should be another industrial city built adjacent to the old city. We can only hope.
