The Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Saroja Sirisena and Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle recently discussed the possibility of a friendly cricket match between the Parliament members of the two countries.
High Commissioner Sirisena, who called on the Speaker of the House of Commons recently, had suggested an exchange of visits between legislatures of the two countries.
They both agreed that a friendly cricket match between the members of the two Parliaments would be a fine opportunity to celebrate shared love of cricket, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in London said.
The officials also discussed the importance of strengthening bilateral relationships between the two countries, especially in trade, investment, tourism people to people contacts, education and cooperation of the legislatures of the two countries.
The Sri Lankan High Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Samantha Pathirana at the meeting.

Appalling. How can a bunch of hooligans play with a clan from Eaton? Interesting. And HC, get your priorities right. If you manage to get AZ vaccines down from UK, it is the need of the hour. And your name will be known for a better cause. But then again I forgot that you too were appointed by the bunch of hooligans. So what better can we expect?

She got an audience with the speaker of the house of commons. She did not ask for vaccines. She did not talk about UNHRC resolution. Instead she challenged the house of commonst to a cricket match so 11 buffoons from Diyawanna can go on an all paid up shopping trip to London at our expense. With the GBP at 300 rupees who can afford to spend their own money?
Migil Friday, 28 May 2021 04:20 PM
Is it so important at this hour ? People have no vaccines and put all your resources to protect our people.
Harrods Friday, 28 May 2021 06:11 PM
Why the shopping bag for the meeting?
N SENA Friday, 28 May 2021 09:05 PM
