In line with the Government’s decision to re-open all government schools from June 29 in four stages, all Catholic schools will also be re-opened on the same dates, National Director of Catholic Schools Fr. Ivan Perera said.
Speaking to Daily Mirror, he said they would also follow the Government’s decision with regard to re-opening of schools.
"We have to abide by the Government’s decisions taken during this pandemic as it has the best information with regard to the prevailing health issue in the country," Fr. Perera said.
The Education Ministry announced today that all government schools will reopen in four stages from June 29.
Accordingly, the schools are to be reopened for teachers and principals on June 29, for Grade 5, 11 and 13 on July 6, for Grade 10 and 12 on July 20 and for Grade 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 on July 27. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
