Police have arrested 617 persons including 342 from Colombo for violating quarantine laws yesterday.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said it was the highest number of arrests made in a single day since October 30.
Meanwhile, DIG Rohana said special raids were conducted at domestic and beach parties in the Western Province violating quarantine regulations.
Accordingly, 63 people have been arrested in connection with the offence.
