Lohan Ratwatte was appointed as State Minister of Gems and Jewellery Related Industries while Dilum Amunugama was sworn in as the State Minister of Vehicle Regulations, Bus Transportation Services & Train Compartments and Motor Vehicle Industry.
Mohan De Silva was appointed State Minister of Fertilizer Production and Supply, Regulations on Usage of Chemical Fertilizer and Pesticides while Wimalaweera Dissanayake was appointed as the State Minister of Wildlife Conservation, Security Programmes including Elephant Fence Construction, Reforestation and Wildlife Resource Development.
Meanwhile, Tharaka Balasooriya got the State Ministry of Regional Cooperation while Indika Anuruddha was appointed as the State Minister of Rural Housing and Construction and Construction Material Industry Development.
Sananth Nishantha was sworn in as the State Minister of Rural and Provincial Drinking Water Supply Project Development.

Absolutely stupid and unnecessary ministries. Here it becomes very clear that these "ministries" are only there to give benefices to the henchmen of the Rajapaksa clan, as ruling monarchs thought of their mercenary leaders in the Middle Ages. But why is there no ministry for the quality of beer when there is one for water?
