When the case was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyatha Liyanage, the CID also informed that Hezbullah had currently infected with COVID-19 and said further investigations are being carried out on the incident.
Having produced the PCR report, the CID told the Magistrate that a group of suspects are infected with COVID-19 including underworld kingpin Kosgoda Tharaka, who is currently being interrogated.

A person must be arrested if there is sufficient evidence to prosecute charges. After arrest a suspect should not be in custody until investigations are complete. Suspect must be bailed with conditions. I believe that is the law of the land.
