Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Shehan Madushanka and another were remanded till June 2 by the Kuliyapitiya Acting Magistrate on the charges of possessing heroin.
Police said the two suspects were taken into custody on Saturday at Pannala when they were travelling in a vehicle from Bammanna to Pudulupoththa in Kuliyapatiya.
Police found 2.7 grammes of heroin in the possession of Madushanka and 2.8 grammes from his friend.

It is indeed sad that this talented young man is suspected to have had in his possession drugs. I hope people realises this scourge in our society particularly among our young people. Hope the relevant authorities takes the right attitude and help this young man to overcome his habit. Along with young man, all our young men and women our future must get all the help they need. Sending him to 2 years prison will not help at all. Besides it will perpetuate such habits in the prison. The authorities - SLC - must help this young man not banish him.

Do agree with Lal. What about all other criminals. Who responsible for droug peddling. Better not remove this young man's clothes in the stage and get a cheap joy. Tomorrow it can b ur son or daughter. Punish him to correct him. B happy by correcting him, not distroying him.
