Shocking..... this proves that Ranjans statements deserve praise.... is there no other authority to take such legal people to courts ?..charge them and put them in jail ?..... one law for all people.....proves that there are different laws for different people....

    W. Guruge Wednesday, 20 January 2021 11:21 AM

I wonder if the judge has done purposely to prove that Ranjan was damn right in his utterances about judiciary system. I can't find a reason for this hilarious situation. As a country we continue to be a laughing stock. For God's sake what is the country we live in.

ORDER... ORDER.... ONE COUNTRY ONE LAW

    BuffaloaCitizen Wednesday, 20 January 2021 11:48 AM

Anthony Perera Wednesday, 20 January 2021 11:58 AM

I suppose Nandasena has not into say about it.

    malij Wednesday, 20 January 2021 01:26 PM

    Ranjan was correct.

    Sokrates Wednesday, 20 January 2021 02:44 PM

The judicial system in this country is corrupt Judges feel like gods but are nothing but rats. Does this comment now constitute a contempt of court offense?

    Coco-Nut Wednesday, 20 January 2021 02:46 PM

He should have been sent home with a few more coconuts!!

palitha rupasinghe Wednesday, 20 January 2021 03:55 PM

Dont comment rubbish without knowing the whole story.Dont blame Judges and police. I am the victim of this .I am the owner of property. This incident has nothing to do with your political shit. I just expect justice from police and the Hon Court of Law.Police has done their best now it is in courts. If you guys want to hear the truth please be in gampaha courts on 18th march. DONT PROMOTE AND SYMPATHIZE CRIMINALS .tToday they came to my property. They will definitely at your door step next day.My father and i have forgiven several times these people.Do you people want me to be a coward and sit until my house is totally stolen? This country has become such a bad place because of people of your kind not because of these criminals posing like innocent starving beggars at the Law.

    malij Wednesday, 20 January 2021 07:16 PM

@Palitha Rupasinghe; You do not have to get upset. No one has tried to deny you justice. The comments made are about the justice system in this country. The crime and the punishment. How the justice is meted out in SL.

    Sinna Wednesday, 20 January 2021 03:56 PM

Nothing happened or relieve names of $2million follow thieves of SRI Lankan airline

    Desillusioned Wednesday, 20 January 2021 05:43 PM

Palitha, I believe you. Bad and incomplete journalism of DM (again). Using oneliners for the thrill. But I also believe our justice system and police is corrupt.

Ronnie Bugger Wednesday, 20 January 2021 05:43 PM

This heartless Magistrate must be one of them whom Ranjan had focused about in the recent past.

    Sokrates Wednesday, 20 January 2021 06:37 PM

@ palitha rupasinghe. You have to live in another world. With your idiotic views you are costing the taxpayer a lot of money. What does such a nonsensical legal process cost? In other countries no court would even allow such a procedure. What does a day cost for a perpetrator in prison? And all because of a stupid coconut. If you are so attached to your coconuts you should build a big wall around your property and secure everything electronically.

    FF Wednesday, 20 January 2021 10:49 PM

WHAT WAS THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE COCONUT TO ASSESS ITS VALUE? ROBBERY IS ROBBERY BE IT A COCONUT OR THE BANK. HA HA MINISTER OF POLICE MUST BE HAPPY, THAT THE POLICE IS NOW DOING SOME WORK

Carlo Veera Thursday, 21 January 2021 04:47 AM

Now there's a judge with "impeccable integrity" . Should make the AG proud
