The G.C.E Advanced Level student who tested positive for COVID-19 and admitted to the Iranawila Hospital has been given the opportunity to sit for the examination at the for COVID-19 infected participants' examination centre at the hospital, Examination Department Commissioner General Sanath B. Pujitha said.
The student was found positive with coronavirus on Monday (12) following PCR tests carried out in a school in Divulapitiya.
Due to this situation, he along with 20 other students have been divided into two groups and allowed to sit for the examination.
Meanwhile, Public Health Inspectors Union of Sri Lanka (PHIUSL) Secretary M. Balasooriya told the Daily Mirror that 12 students tested positive earlier after PCR tests were carried out in the Divuapitiya area. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
