Former Minister and Samagi Jana Balawega (SJB) MP Rishad Bathiudeen today filed a complaint against Minister Wimal Weerawansa before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The MP said he complaint about a speech made by Wimal Weerawansa at an event in which the minister said that his brother and Easter Sunday attack mastermind Zahran Hashim had a telephone conversation.
Speaking to the media, Bathiudeen denied the allegations and said Wimal Weerawansa should prove those allegations if he can.
"I had never met Zahran. I told then and now that neither my brother nor I had any link with him. That is the truth. The statement made by Weerawansa was a blatant lie. He continues to spread malicious lies for his political gain. I challenge him to prove what he said if he can. I have lodged a complaint with the CID. I hope they would initiate an immediate investigation into this complaint, he said.

Without fire no smoke anyway. You and your brother had links with Terrorists and gave shelter to them before the attack took place, Rishad, don't think people are fools.
