A total of 132 PCR tests were carried out at the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) after CMC Charity Commissioner tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, Colombo Regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinuka Guruge said.
She said no positive cases was reported from the PCR tests as of now.
Moreover, another total of 42 PCR tests have been conducted at the Charity Commissioner’s office and the results are yet to be received.
Dr. Guruge said they were in the process of carrying out PCR tests on close contacts of the CMC employees.
The CMC Charity Commissioner who was tested positive for COVID-19, has visited the CMC for the CMC Finance Committee meeting.
Subsequently, the CMC Charity Commissioner’s office at Dean’s Road was temporarily closed. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

It is a shame 132 tests for 10million residents. Calculate the probability to find a covid case from a random test. It is almost zero
