UNP MP Ajith P. Perera said today that government should arrest Mr. Samaraweera if he had divulged State secrets or made a false statement with regard to recent incidents in Aluthgama and Beruwela.

“There is no point slinging mud at Mr. Samaraweera if he had made a false statement or divulged State secrets,” Perera said.

He said Mr. Samaraweea had not divulged any State secrets as he had only named few officers attached to the defense fraternity and intelligence.

Mr. Perera said that everyone, who had followed current affairs, is aware that the persons whose names were mentioned by his colleague were involved in the defence sector in the country.

Mr. Samawraweera in a recent media conference accused that some officers whom he named were involved in the recent clashes in Aluthgama and Beruwela.

MP Ajith Perera said that the allegations made by Mr. Samaraweera were true, as neither the government, the Police Spokesman nor the Military Spokesman had denied it to date.(Yohan Perera & Ajith Siriwardana)

Yes Ajith, I agree. But Mangala is trying to stab MR and take revenge by spreading bad comments on him and his family which is bad indeed. His personal attacks should not be brought in light in Political stream.

Government is always in the habit of suppressing the voice of
politicians who speak boldly. Mangala knows in and out of
    PA Government.
